1000 ARRAY

To deliver extraordinary sonic performance in the finest home theater and music systems, JBL® Project ArrayTM models utilize technologies directly derived from the company’s flagship K2® Series loudspeakers and professional recording studio monitors. Project Array models include the 1400 Array, 1000 Array and 800 Array floorstanding loudspeakers; the 880 Array center channel loudspeaker; and the 1500 Array powered subwoofer with built-in 1000-watt amplifier. The 1000 Array is a more-modestly proportioned loudspeaker that is ideal for medium- and smaller-sized home theater and music systems. This model utilizes a vertically oriented, enclosure-less Bi-Radial®-horn configuration to provide spacious, dynamic and natural sound quality. Available in Black Gloss and Wood Grain Finish.

JBL engineers designed the JBL 1000 Array BG floorstanding speaker to deliver enhanced, room-filling sound from a compatible AVR (audio/video receiver) or 25- to 200-watt power amplifier.
JBL engineers have built the 1000 Array BG premium loudspeaker from the highest-grade materials and components, including high-order crossover networks using low-loss air-core inductors, in addition to audiophile-grade, polypropylene-dielectric capacitors selected for maximum sonic purity.
A high-efficiency, polymer-treated pulp-cone driver, a ferrite motor assembly and a 1-1/2-inch (38-millimeter) copper edge-wound voice coil ensure bass power and authority. The result is the impressive low-frequency playback needed for today’s dynamic music and high-energy movie soundtracks.
The 1000 Array BG combines the inherent musicality of natural pulp-cone fiber with the added rigidity of the proprietary JBL Aquaplas compound, a combination that preserves sonic neutrality and dampens internal resonances while smoothing frequency balance and bass response.
A 1-3/4-inch (45-millimeter) titanium compression driver, with an aluminum edge-wound voice coil and 2-inch (50-millimeter) neodymium motor assembly, handles the 1000 Array BG’s ultrahigh-frequency playback. The driver is mounted on a proprietary, constant-directivity SonoGlass® horn that ensures full-spectrum dynamics and 360-degree imaging.
Derived from the flagship JBL K2 Series loudspeakers and professional recording-studio monitors, the 1000 Array BG provides the same playback purity that filmmakers and musicians demand for their recordings and soundtracks. Shouldn’t you hear their work the same way?
We’ve fabricated the 1000 Array BG’s enclosure from thick-walled, medium-density fiberboard in a heavily braced trapezoidal design to minimize internal standing waves and enclosure colorations. As a result, the cabinet is strong enough to defend your musical choices from anything that might distort the sound.
With a unique design that blends classic and high-tech, the 1000 Array BG looks as good as it sounds. It offers an elegant, lacquered-wood finish combined with an ultraflat, soft-touch, rubberized black texture.
